Hello! My name is Isabella, and I currently attend Drexel University until 2028. Marketing was my previous major, though, I recently changed to go into nursing. My decision was based upon my love for taking care of others and my drive to learn more! Though taking on--arguably--harder coursework, I can focus on my goal in life and continue forward. I believe in myself to accomplish great things! Now, over the years I lived in Philadelphia, I have loved the city and exploring via Septa or by walking. Having been born here, I admire the diversity and adventures that come with living in Philly. I find myself on Bold.org as a first-generation college student from a low-income family. My parents came from Mexico to the U.S. and have worked incredibly hard; I do everything I can to help them, knowing their sacrifices are why I am here. By doing my own research and writing, I believe scholarships are what can help me to pursue my dreams without financial strain. Additionally, one thing that defines me is my love for music. My playlist is like a passport stamped with every genre imaginable, thanks to the different sounds and styles I’ve been exposed to over the years. Whether it is in English, Spanish, French, or other languages, I always keep an open ear and mind. In short, I am all about learning, growing, and connecting—whether through new experiences, new people, or just a good song! :)
