Isabella Youssef is a Senior at Hunter College. She is pursuing a double major in History and Jewish Studies, with a minor in Political Science. Throughout all semesters of her academic career, she has earned Dean’s List. Last Spring, she was inducted into Phi Alpha Theta- Epsilon Theta. She is also a student leader at CRU, an interdenominational Christian club.
In her Freshman year, Isabella was accepted into her first internship. As a Holocaust Educator at the Museum of Jewish Heritage- A Living Memorial to the Holocaust. In June of that year, she served overseas at a collection of vision clinics in Honduras, where the team met with over 1000 patients. She traveled again a year later to Guatemala to do the same work.
In Winter 2024, she was a scholar with the Ibrahim Student Leadership and Middle Eastern Dialogue program. With them, she traveled to the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Washington D.C. to study geopolitics.
In her Sophomore year, Isabella was an Education Intern at the Jewish Museum, an Interfaith Fellow at CUNY, and an Eve Kastan Grove Fellow at the Roosevelt Public Policy House. In the Summer, she was a Research Assistant for a Queens College History Professor.
In Fall 2024, she wrote a research paper as a Mellon Public Humanities and Social Justice Scholar. In the Fall, she was also a student at CSTEP Project L.A.W at the CUNY School of Law and Urban Studies. She was also a Hertog Humanities Fellow.
This Spring, she interned at the honorable Assemblymember Grace Lee’s office. She was also a Research Fellow at the Charles Malik Institute.
