I’m currently a senior in high school, a time when many students begin to reflect on their future and what kind of impact they want to make. For me, that clarity came through the experiences I’ve shared with my peers. Growing up, we were often asked to imagine ourselves at 100 years old. While I’ve always joked that I might not make it to 100—thanks to my deep love of sweet teas and the occasional Renaissance fair Larp events —I’ve always known one thing for sure: I want to make a difference in the lives of those who once felt like they were fighting alone. I may not be the fastest, the strongest, or someone who can stomach the sight of blood, but my strength lies in connecting with people. I’ve always had a natural ability to listen and communicate, which has shaped my passion for psychology. I want to understand the complexities of the human mind and use that knowledge to support and uplift others. I believe I’m a strong candidate not only because of my commitment to learning, but also because I am determined to follow through.
