Bio

Hey, I'm Isabella. I'm a rising junior with a deep passion for God and music. Life hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve found great comfort and purpose through music. I've been fortunate enough to experiment with music throughout my life, which has led me to learn six instruments (and counting) independently. Music has been a source of solace for me, and I hope to extend that same comfort and inspiration to others. I’ve written hundreds of songs and have even had the opportunity to record some of them. As the pianist at my church, this role has not only strengthened my musical skills but has also deepened my relationship with God. My ultimate goal is to write Christian music that helps to bring others closer to God and enriches their spiritual lives.

Attending my first concert, featuring Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks, was an experience I will never forget. The journey to that night was filled with financial challenges and an unexpected act of kindness that made the evening even more special. The tickets for the concert were quite expensive, far beyond what I could afford. Despite saving up as much as I could, I realized I didn’t have enough to buy even one ticket. Not wanting to miss out, my mom and I decided to go to the venue early, hoping we might find last-minute tickets at a lower price or connect with others outside the venue who might’ve been around to listen from outside. We arrived at the arena with high hopes, standing near the ticket box and waiting for a miracle. As time passed, it became clear that our chances of getting tickets were slim. Stieve Nicks had already been performing for a little over half an hour; our hope of finding a way in began to fade. We were on the verge of giving up when something incredible happened. A man approached us. He was Billy Joel’s COVID coordinator, responsible for managing health and safety at the event. He noticed our disappointment and struck up a conversation. He asked us who our favorite artist was between Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks. I told him that it was hard to choose because I loved both artists equally—they had both been so influential to my songwriting and composing. The coordinator listened carefully and then did something truly remarkable. He offered us two floor tickets to the concert. His kindness was completely unexpected, and it was a huge relief, and a dream come true. His gesture turned a potentially disappointing evening into an unforgettable experience. We were incredibly grateful and excited to finally be able to attend the concert. Once we had the tickets, we hurried into the arena. The atmosphere inside was electric, filled with the buzz of eager fans. We were able to make it just as Stevie was thanking the crowd. When Billy Joel took the stage, it was as amazing as I had hoped. His live performance of my favorites like “For the longest time” (which is fully acapella) and “Uptown Girl” (a classic) was even more impressive in person. The energy of the crowd and the power of his music made the night truly special. Seeing both of these legendary artists perform on the same night was an incredible experience. As the concert ended and we left the arena, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude and inspiration. The generosity of the COVID coordinator had made it possible for us to attend, and his act of kindness had a profound impact on me. It reminded me that even in challenging situations, unexpected acts of kindness can make a big difference. The concert was more than just a night of great music. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of perseverance and the impact of compassion. It inspired me to continue pursuing my own dreams and to appreciate the moments of joy that life can bring. The experience was a testament to the power of music and the kindness of others, and it will always hold a special place in my heart.
