I have been working and volunteering for at least the last four years. I am part of a non profit organization (Silver Lake Park 501c3) for the community for over 10 years. It started out to have a place for children to play and build a park. The goal was reached by involving the community in events such as movie nights, egg hunts, carnivals, and Halloween parties. The events became so successful and so enjoyable to the community that they continue today. The events are free or very low cost. No one is denied entry for lack of funds. Hundreds of children attend these events. Any proceeds are used to maintain the insurance for the park. There is also an alliance with the food pantry. I eventually became the senior event sanitation transfer engineer. Some kids look forward to these events and it may be the few times that they can afford to enjoy a family outing. I will continue to support fundraisers, clean up and activities to support the community and people that I love. I will continue to fill in as a coach and mentor for younger kids. I will answer the request for help or fill in for activities. I will take every advantage to spread random acts of kindness.
