I am a rising junior double majoring in Music and Psychology with a specialization in lifespan development. My academic focus is driven by a deep-seated passion for improving cognitive and emotional well-being through the unique intersection of music and the human mind.
I am particularly interested in the developmental changes that accompany memory-related illnesses in older adults such as Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. I believe that by combining the therapeutic benefits of music with psychological theory, we can create more empathetic and effective support systems for our rapidly growing aging population.
Whether I ultimately pursue Music Therapy (MT-BC) or Music Psychology (or both!), I am committed to bringing the healing power of music to those who need it most.
