Imre Huss is the Team Lead for Govvy, an innovative civic technology platform that helps constituents engage with government through simplified bill summaries, direct communication with representatives, and AI-powered guidance. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, Imre is a rising senior at the Mastery School of Hawken, where he has partnered with over twenty community organizations, from nonprofits to hospitals to startups, to design solutions to real-world challenges. Imre is passionate about using innovative technologies and methods to address issues in our society, particularly the state of our political climate and the growing energy crisis. In addition to leading Govvy, he is a Democracy Engagement Intern with the National Coalition for Dialogue and Deliberation, and a Writing Contributor for More Like US, where he has co-authored six published articles on depolarization and contact theory in outlets including The Fulcrum, Independent Voter News, and The Liberal Patriot. In the energy space, he has interned with think tanks and nonprofits, most recently completing a role as a Researcher at the Energy Policy Center at Cleveland State University. At school, Imre is Editor-in-Chief of Mastery: The Student Research Journal, co-teaches Academic Research for Publication, and plays on the states-qualifying Ultimate Frisbee team. He also volunteers extensively with youth with disabilities.
