Maggie's Way- International Woman’s Scholarship
It takes a lot of courage and determination to move to a new country at a young age with limited resources and to overcome health challenges while pursuing your dreams.
Like Maggie, I have shown resilience in the face of adversity and have worked hard to achieve my goals. Im also pursuing a career in healthcare, which is a STEM field that requires dedication and a passion for learning.
In many ways, i embody Maggie's spirit of intellectual curiosity, bravery, and determination. My experiences show that I share her love of challenges and learning, and my achievements demonstrate that I have the potential to make a positive impact on the world.
I m also polish and like Maggie I continue to pursue my dreams with the same passion and tenacity she demonstrated throughout her life.
In addition to the similarities mentioned earlier, there may be other ways in which I relate to Maggie's challenges and experiences. For example, like Maggie, I moved to the U.S. on my own, without a support system, which can be daunting and challenging.
I have also faced language barriers and cultural differences, which can make it difficult to adjust to a new environment. However, like Maggie, I have persevered and overcome these obstacles to achieve my goals.
Maggie's passion for physical challenges, are similar to my , I love swimming, surfing, diving, what shows determination and fearlessness. I also have a similar spirit of adventure and a desire to push myself beyond my limits.By pursuing a career in healthcare, I have shown a commitment to helping others and making a positive impact on people's lives, which is in line with Maggie's dedication to education and knowledge.
One important similarity is that Maggie and I share determination and grit. Both of us have faced significant challenges, yet we refused to let those obstacles stop us from achieving our dreams. I m willing to work hard and persevere in the face of adversity, which is a quality that Maggie exemplified throughout her life.
Another way in which I may relate to Maggie is through my love of learning. Maggie was known for her intellectual curiosity and her desire to become an expert in whatever she set her mind to. Similarly, I have pursued a career in healthcare, a field that requires constant learning and the acquisition of new knowledge.
Finally, by applying for this scholarship, im showing a commitment to my education and my future, which is in line with Maggie's dedication to education and self-improvement. Like Maggie, Im not afraid to take risks and pursue my dreams, even when the odds may seem against me.
Overall, your story is a testament to the resilience and determination that both you and Maggie share. You have faced significant challenges and overcome them through hard work, perseverance, and a love of learning. I have no doubt that you will continue to achieve great things in your career and in your life, just as Maggie did.

This essay about simple polish girl who dreamed her all childhood about moving to the “biggest” city in the world full of opportunities.
I’m currently 37 years old and I live in NYC for 18 years now.I came to this country all by myself at age of 19, without knowing English, with $50 in my pocket and suitcase of clothes. I started from zero. I have faced million of obstacles and the fact that I didn’t have anyone I definitely learn so much about life and people just after facing each obstacle. Currently I’m dental hygienist with salary over $100K a year and still studying at Capella University to one day become the CEO/CFO of hospital and provide the best health care to people in need.
I myself shortly after arriving to United States faced health problems. When I was diagnosed with DVT( deep vain thrombosis) my life completely changed. It was a nightmare to stay at hospital full of doctors and nurses talking to in language I didn’t understand at all at that time. Explaining me in best possible ways what is going on. I was devastated and thought my life is going to end.
However after 4 years I overcome my condition and feeling great today. I decided to go to healthcare to help people in need.
Our country is made of immigrants and different cultures and languages. I want to provide equal healthcare to each individual no matter what is there race, language, poor or rich. I want everyone to be able to get best care.
Even as a poor girl and new to the country I was so lucky to receive best care, however not everyone is so lucky and get the experience I got. Today I decided to do my best and thrive for success to be able to help others.
I have learnt throughout my difficult but almost the most beautiful years living in United States that HEALTH is the real WEALTH
