Throughout my high school years, I have consistently exceeded expectations and become a star, an athlete, and devoted to community service. I have been a football and track athlete for four years, held the position of team captain, and achieved 3.9 on my scores. GPA, involvement in leadership roles such as Student Council and NHS, and volunteered at community events whenever feasible. My approach is always focused on the end, and I don't even consider halfway important. Being the captain of the Terrell Tigers football team has been one of my most cherished experiences. Being a part of my teammates' lives was more than just being the leader. When someone needed a lift, I provided transportation, attended lectures with others, and made myself available as trustworthy. I maintained the same mindset on the track, dedicating as much time and effort to energize my teammates and cultivate myself each year.’ I was often seen as the big brother of the football team. Having both school and sports in my life, I have learned to prioritize my goals over others, be self-reliant, and never let excuses hinder me. I am dedicated to keeping a perfect score of 4.0. I am aware of the significance that education holds for me, not only in terms of my future prospects but also as a testament to the sacrifices my parents have made. Regardless of the situation, they have always told me to do my best, and I am committed to that. In addition to my involvement in sports and school, I have also been involved in community clubs like Student Council and National Honor Society. These have been occasions when I have engaged in service projects and helped plan events that bring our school closer. Over the course of four years in FFA, I have had to demonstrate and raise a steer longhorn, which taught me valuable lessons about patience, disciplined behavior, and dedication. My most enjoyable experience was participating in soccer as a volunteer for children. My passion for helping others was once again evident when I saw them grow and become more energetic. My motive for doing everything is to be the best version of myself, not just for my family. My parents are already burdened with a heavy load, providing for not only our household but also family members in Sierra Leone. This scholarship would alleviate some of the stress and allow me to pursue my aspirations without contributing to theirs.
