Bio

My life experiences, both in my childhood and during my time in America, have profoundly shaped my passion and commitment to health advocacy. While at Harvard, I became deeply involved with the Foundation of International Medical Relief of Children. This organization focuses on improving adolescent physical and mental health. Through leading the Harvard Chapter of FIMRC, I gained valuable insights into the challenges faced by adolescents in accessing mental health resources, both locally and internationally. This past summer, I took my commitment to the next level by working as a research fellow for the Shamiri Institute in Kenya. I am involved in developing a tiered lay-psychotherapy model that will enable youth to access high-quality mental health care, a project that aligns perfectly with my long-term goals. Since May 2021, I've been involved in mental health advocacy in Vietnam. I've worked as a mental health counselor and volunteer, providing language education and counseling to child victims of abuse. I also designed and implemented a 4-week mindfulness-based program aimed at enhancing the psychological and emotional well-being of children. This fall, I will be pursuing a Master's in Global Health and Development at University College London (UCL). As a first-generation student, scholarships play a crucial role in enabling me to pursue my post-graduate studies. Your support would make a significant difference in covering my tuition, room and board, and living expenses while I undertake this transformative journey in London. Thank you so much!
