Fishing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Before I could walk, I was spending lots of time on the water, and by the time I was five or six years old, I began fishing in tournaments. Very early on, fishing became more than something I enjoyed—it became my passion and the foundation of my future goals.
Spending time on the lake has shaped who I am. Fishing has taught me patience, discipline, and perseverance, as well as how to adapt when conditions change. Every tournament and day on the water pushes me to learn more, work harder, and stay focused. Being on the lake is where I feel most at home and most motivated.
Conservation is extremely important to me because I want the waters I fish today to be protected for future generations. I believe responsible fishing and respect for the environment are essential to the sport and to my future career.
My goal is to become a professional fisherman, and I understand that success in today’s fishing world requires more than talent on the water. That is why I am studying marketing—to learn how to build a personal brand, work with sponsors, and represent the sport professionally. By combining my education with my lifelong passion for fishing, I am working toward a career that allows me to compete, give back, and be a positive representative of the fishing community.

Fishing has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. Before I could walk, my dad began taking me to the lake, and by the time I was five or six years old, I began fishing in tournaments with him. Growing up on the water taught me early that fishing is about so much more than competition—it is also about character, sportsmanship, and work ethic.
On the water, I strive to compete with honesty and respect. Fishing has taught me that integrity matters, even / especially when no one is watching. I follow the rules, respect fellow anglers, and handle both success and disappointment with humility. Sportsmanship to me means supporting others, learning from every experience (good or bad), and respecting the shared waters we fish.
Fishing has also shaped my work ethic. Success requires preparation, patience, practice, and persistence. Early mornings, long days, and constantly changing conditions have taught me discipline and resilience. I have learned to stay focused even when things do not go as planned and to view setbacks as opportunities to learn and improve. These lessons carry over into my education and personal goals, where consistency and effort are equally important.
Conservation is a core value for me. Spending countless hours on the lake has shown me how important it is to protect our waters. I practice ethical fishing, follow regulations, and take care in handling fish because I want future generations to enjoy the sport the way I have. I believe being a good fisherman also means being a responsible steward of the environment.
In my community, I strive to give back by mentoring younger middle and high school anglers. I enjoy sharing my knowledge, helping them build confidence, and teaching them that fishing is about respect, patience, and responsibility—not just results. Seeing younger anglers grow and develop a love for the sport has been one of the most rewarding parts of my fishing journey.
My goal is to become a professional fisherman, and I understand that strong character and work ethic are just as important as skill. That is why I am studying marketing to prepare for the business side of the sport and to represent sponsors and the fishing community with integrity. Fishing has shaped who I am, and the lessons it has taught me guide how I compete and contribute both on and off the water.
