Even as a young child, I have always been fascinated by technology. I can still remember being attracted by my mom's computer and snooping around to watch "Code Bullet" and other Youtube channels. Only as I grew older did this curiosity grow. I spent hours working on my own computer, trying to understand how it worked and what I could do to get it to do what I needed. As soon as I accomplished that, I became fascinated. I spent all of my spare time studying programming and learning about the virtually infinite things I could create using a computer. I even began creating my own websites, machine learning algorithms, and learned how to speak new languages on my own. As I became more knowledgeable about computer science, I understood that it wasn't only a subject full of intellectual and technical challenges; it also had the ability to actually alter the course of human history. I've grown to adore using my expertise to find solutions to problems that might improve people's lives. But what, in my opinion, really sets computer science different is the spirit of cooperation and camaraderie that permeates the field. I've come across a warm and inspiring group of people who share my interests. I'm motivated to use my education and profession to this purpose because I genuinely believe that technology can assist in finding solutions to some of the most important problems facing our society. One way I intend to make a difference through my computer science educational profession is by using my expertise to develop solutions that address pressing social and environmental problems. For example, utilizing my knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning, I have created algorithms to forecast and mitigate the impacts of COVID-19. Another way I intend to make a difference is by using my expertise of computer science to promote inclusivity and equality. I believe that everyone should have equal access to the advantages of technology, regardless of where they come from or their circumstances. Through my education and work, I'm committed to closing the digital divide and giving everyone the opportunity to take part in the digital economy. In addition, I want to use my time studying computer science to mentor and serve as an example for other students and aspiring professionals. I believe it's important to give back to the community and help others realize their dreams. Last but not least, I wish to enhance moral values and ethical behavior using my background in computer science and my professional endeavors. The ethical and responsible use of technology as it grows and progresses must be ensured. I am committed to advancing equity and responsible technology use. In addition to participating in events and organizations, I want to keep being involved in my community and helping others. For instance, I might volunteer my time to assist local organizations in developing websites or software solutions to support their goals. Giving back to the community and utilizing my skills to enhance the lives of others are important in my opinion. In conclusion, I'm committed to using my computer science education and professional experience to impact the world. As a college student, I have experienced personally the value of grit, or the capacity to persist through difficulties and setbacks in order to continue pursuing one's objectives. I've had a lot of difficulties in college, such as failing tests and finding it difficult to manage my schoolwork and other obligations. Changing my perspective was an excellent way to deal with my obstacles and failures. It might be simple to get disheartened or see setbacks as failures, but by changing your perspective and seeing difficulties as chances to learn and advance, you can strengthen your resilience and be more equipped to deal with difficulties in the future. Finding something constructive or helpful in any circumstance, regardless of how challenging it may appear, is one exercise for practicing shifting your mentality. When I do not perform to my standards on a test, for instance, I try to reflect on what I learned from the experience and how I can use what you learned to improve moving forward. By establishing modest, doable goals for myself, I have also acquired fortitude through the difficulties of education. When I am faced with a challenging task, I divide it into smaller objectives that are simpler to complete. This enables me to maintain my motivation and advance even in the face of adversity. By asking for help and advice from others, I was able to develop and acquire grit while overcoming the difficulties of college. I ask for advice and support from my peers, instructors, and mentors when I need it. I now feel less alone and have the drive and support I need to keep going thanks to this. Grit was a quality I worked hard to cultivate during my time in college, and I think it will continue to be as I advance in my professional and personal life. I am convinced that the abilities and perspective I have developed through the rigors of college will assist me to overcome the numerous challenges and setbacks that lie ahead. In conclusion, I have acquired grit through the difficulties of college by changing my perspective, establishing modest goals, and looking for help and direction from others. These techniques have aided me in overcoming obstacles and continuing to work toward my objectives even when things are challenging. Taking chances is one thing I've had trouble with. I'm usually a cautious person who is reluctant to try new things or accept tasks that come with a certain amount of danger. While being cautious might sometimes be advantageous, I've learned that it can sometimes limit me and keep me from realizing my full potential. I've created a plan to assist me to become more at ease with taking chances in order to change this. My strategy includes looking for new challenges and experiences that will take me outside of my comfort zone. This can be taking up a brand-new pastime, learning something I've never studied before in class, or even just meeting someone new. I want to broaden my horizons and experience new things in order to boost my self-assurance and get more at ease with taking chances. My plan also involves developing my thoughts. When faced with a risk or challenge, I have the propensity to focus on all the negative consequences. I'm making an effort to change my viewpoint so that I no longer perceive risks as hazards, but rather as opportunities for growth and education. Although it will require some effort and training, I believe the results will be rewarding. To actively improve my ability for taking risks, I want to actively seek out new experiences and challenges. This can involve picking up a novel hobby, stepping up to serve in a leadership capacity at work or school, or even just striking up a conversation with a total stranger. I want to gain more experience and confidence. Additionally, I want to improve my thinking and attempt to see dangers as chances for development. I prefer to focus on the potential drawbacks of taking a chance, so this will take some work and practice. I do, however, think that by changing my perspective and looking at dangers more positively, I will be better equipped to accept fresh challenges and chances. Overall, I am aware that altering my propensity to shun chances would not be simple, but I think it is a necessary step toward realizing my full potential. I expect that by adhering to this plan and continuing to work on my thinking and behavior, I will gain more self-assurance and comfort with taking chances and be better equipped to welcome new possibilities and challenges.

Seventeen hours and 30 minutes. That is how long it took my immigrant mother to fly from Ghana to New York City in hopes of a better life. Growing up with an immigrant parent was probably one of the most challenging tasks I have gone through. Having to read government documents for my mom as early as 11 or walking home from school by myself because my mom had to work the overnight shift. It is safe to say I did not live a regular life because, in the end, I was learning for two, my mother and me. Growing up faster than others, I had to establish in my mind that school was the only way to succeed in life. Prejudice, corruption, and racism are problems we have to face in our everyday life. Today it is an authoritarian African president oppressing his people, then the next day, people in our own country are denied basic human decency, let alone rights. Now we all dream for the one person who can spark the change we desire but, why can't that be you or me? My goal is through the use of coding and entrepreneurship; I can be the one to create change. JavaScript, Python, and C++ are all major programming languages. While their coding to the untrained eye may look like a discombobulated mess of words and commands, that is my tool for ending the corruption back home in Ghana. By manipulating code and decentralized tools, it is possible to eliminate electoral corruption, voter corruption, and vote-rigging simultaneously establishing a tech hub in Ghana. As a Ghanaian man, it troubles me when I hear of political officials in Africa hiring tech savants to come to the city and rig elections so that they can keep their pockets full. Millions of dollars every year are spent on these elections. Yet, some areas of the country do not have access to clean water. My goal is to take back those funds and use them to build tech firms in Ghana, which will in term bring in more money into the country. This money will be used to create over a dozen institutions across the country and become the first pish for academic and economic prosperity And I do this because I belong to a community that can relate to the struggling of growing up in a low-income family. Although we watched our parents/parents work day in and day out to provide, sometimes that was not enough. My diversity and unique experiences allow me to resonate with so many different groups. I want to build tech hubs in these impoverished countries so I can give the next generation the ability to pursue while still having the option to stay at home.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, the genius behind many Broadway films but most importantly the depiction of Alexander Hamilton in his biggest play. Not only did Miranda provide many African-Americans and minorities the opportunity to be involved in a play performed at the White House but the incorporation of raps and singing keeps watchers intrigued while giving watchers an entertaining account of historical events.
