Hi, my name is Marcelo Osorio and I'm a person who loves to learn new things and try new things even if I'm not good at it. I love to make music(sing/rap), I'm a song writer, I love a lot of forms of art, drawing/sketching, I love reading, and more. I love to give back to the community for nothing in return, I help at a church that gives out food to people in need. I like to join many types of clubs in my school and do special projects at school as well. I love helping others and my family and friends. I'm, not the most outgoing but I am interesting once you get to know me. In my spare time, I'm always writing songs, editing pictures/videos and drawing( I do both physical drawings and online art). I have an interest in architecture and music.

I was a young boy living in El Salvador with my grandma from the ages 1-5 and very poor until I moved to the United States in Maryland. My parents were always hardworking and poor and we still found ways to have fun. I had just started Kindergarten and didn't speak English but since I was always around English speakers I learned English in a year and now I speak it fluently. I was always in honors classes because I'm a fast learner and understood things well. I never had any siblings until when I turned eight my parents had my brother. As I got older and went to middle school there were more financial hardships but my parents still kept pushing. I didn't go to the best schools and didn't always get the best grades in middle school but kept pushing and always had this passion for arts like drawing and music. When my little brother started school I would always help him with his assignments and helping understands certain subjects. When I started going to high school a lot of things changed for me and it was harder on me because I had to juggle a lot. After freshman year I changed high school and got accepted to a charter school and its a totally different experience and it was more challenging educationally. I was struggling with 10th grade and most definitely not used to the change. But it was definitely harder after the pandemic hit in March which really affected me and my family. It affected my family financially and emotionally but when 11th grade started I started doing really good in school and I started getting really good grades and joined many clubs and did 40 service hours. I've been working harder to go to a good college and achieve my dream of being a doctor or architect. In life, I hope to make a difference in the planet with medical problems and help my family both financially and with their health. I hope to have kids and a wife one day and inspire them to make a difference as a minority.
