Growing up in Pakistan I personally for sure witnessed how poverty and limited access to healthcare can determine whether someone lives or dies. Families often delayed treatment simply because they could not afford it and I realized that talent and compassion alone are not enough we also need innovation that reaches those who need it most. After immigrating to the United States, I gained access to opportunities I once only dreamed of, and I carry that privilege with deep gratitude. My long term goal is to become a biomedical engineer who develops affordable, life-saving medical technologies for underserved communities around the world. I want to bridge the gap between advanced healthcare and those who have been left behind. The values that guide me are compassion, resilience, service, and gratitude. Every opportunity I receive reminds me of where I came from and strengthens my commitment to ensuring that no person’s future is limited by where they were born or what they can afford.
