Bio

My biggest goal is to become a commercial pilot. I’m currently training in the Aviation Flight Technology program through Mercer County Community College and Infinity Flight School to earn my certifications. I also want to keep challenging myself in leadership roles, building strong teams, and inspiring others, whether in aviation, athletics, or my community. I’ve always been drawn to aviation because of the beauty of it but also because of the focus, discipline, and responsibility it takes. Flying combines technical skill, precision, and problem-solving, all things I enjoy and excel at. Competitive swimming has been very important to me. It has taught me how much teamwork, perseverance, and discipline can drive success. Both flying and swimming push me to grow, stay committed, and give my best. Through my experiences as swim team captain, surf instructor, and lifeguard, I’ve proven that I can lead under pressure, support others, and stay calm and focused in high-stakes situations. My academic work, including honors and AP classes, shows that I can take on challenges and follow through. I’m dedicated, hardworking, and motivated to reach my goals, and I know I’ll bring that same energy and focus to every opportunity I take on.

I have always been fascinated by aviation for as long as I can remember. Everyone says to choose something you would do for free as a career, and you will never work another day in your life. So, that’s exactly what I did. It’s not just about the airplanes and flying for me; it is about the whole world around them, the technology, physics, communication, and teamwork that all come together to make something so complicated work efficiently and safely. My interest started small, watching planes take off from Newark Airport at the Ikea restaurant. Over time, this curiosity grew and eventually turned into a real passion that shapes my life. We visit family in Sweden every year and fly in and out of Copenhagen Airport in Denmark. It always amazed me, not only the planes but also how organized everything is at the airport. Seeing the pilots, ground crew, and air traffic controllers all working in sync was inspiring. It made me realize how important leadership and clear communication are in aviation, qualities I’ve worked hard to develop in myself. Leadership isn’t just about telling people what to do. It is about listening, understanding, and working with people instead of having people work for you. I have had chances to practice this during group projects and in leadership roles during school and competitive swimming. For example, at a leadership camp with New Jersey Swimming, I learned how to coordinate a team with different skills and ideas. Instead of just assigning tasks, we created an environment where everyone felt comfortable sharing their thoughts. When problems came up, I stayed calm and made quick and rational decisions. That experience taught me that leadership is really about supporting others and helping the whole team succeed. I also believe being a good leader means leading by example. I try to show up prepared, stay ethical in everything I do, and keep learning. In aviation, every small decision can mean the difference between life and death, and integrity and a strong work ethic are essential. I want to be a person and a leader in all aspects of life that others can trust because they know I’m dedicated and reliable. I am excited to keep growing in aviation, not only by understanding the technical side but by becoming a leader who can guide a team through challenges. I’m confident my passion for aviation and my approach to leadership, based on respect, communication, and teamwork, will help me make a real difference. Aviation grabbed my attention early on, and it’s become a big part of who I am. I’m eager to bring my enthusiasm and leadership skills to the table and keep pushing myself to grow in this field.
