⸻ Flag football has been my passion ever since I picked up a ball in fifth grade. At the time, it wasn’t recognized as a school sport, and the idea of playing flag football in college felt almost impossible. But none of that mattered to me—I loved the game. If there was a field and people willing to play, I was there, ready to run routes, dive for flags, and have fun. Growing up in Portland, Maine, I played in every league I could find from fifth through eighth grade. Fall, winter, spring—if there was a season, I was signed up. I still remember cold Maine mornings, pulling on my cleats and feeling pure excitement before kickoff. When my family moved to Franklin, Tennessee, I worried I might have to leave the sport behind. Instead, I found even more opportunities. I joined my high school’s varsity team, played co-ed games at the YMCA, and competed in adult pickup leagues whenever possible. I learned that flag football exists everywhere if you’re willing to look for it. Summers quickly became my favorite season. I traveled to tournaments, competed at a high level, and attended Nike camps that pushed me to improve my skills and confidence. Even after eight years of playing, I still get butterflies stepping onto the field. The energy, the teamwork, and the constant challenge are what keep me coming back. This year is especially meaningful because I serve as my varsity team captain. Leadership has taught me how to motivate others, support teammates through tough practices, and create a positive environment where everyone feels valued. Whether we’re running sprints in the heat or practicing in the rain, my goal is to keep spirits high and make sure every player feels confident and included. I want our team to be known not only for competing hard, but for supporting one another and truly loving the game. All of these experiences led to one of my proudest accomplishments: committing to King University to continue my flag football career at the collegiate level. Receiving multiple college offers was incredibly rewarding and reaffirmed the countless hours of dedication I’ve put into this sport. But choosing King University felt like the perfect next step, allowing me to grow as an athlete, leader, and student while competing at a high level. Looking ahead, my dreams extend far beyond college. I hope to represent Team USA in flag football at the Olympic level, and even more, to help grow the sport in my home country of Poland. Flag football is still developing there, and I would love to help start leagues and introduce new players to the joy and opportunity the game provides. Flag football has shaped who I am—building my confidence, discipline, and lifelong friendships. I’m excited for what lies ahead and eager to continue spreading my love for the game wherever this journey takes me

Flag football has been my thing ever since I first picked up a ball in fifth grade. Back then, it wasn’t even on the radar as a school sport, and nobody was talking about playing flag football in college. But honestly, that didn’t matter to me at all—I just loved the game. If there was a field and a group of people willing to play, you could bet I’d be there, ready to run, laugh, and dive for flags. Growing up in Portland, Maine, I played in every league I could find from fifth through eighth grade. Fall, winter, spring—if there was a season, I was signed up. I still remember those chilly Maine mornings, pulling on my cleats and feeling that rush of excitement before each game. When my family moved to Franklin, Tennessee, I worried I might have to leave flag football behind, but instead, I found even more ways to play. I joined my high school’s varsity team, started playing co-ed games at the YMCA, and even jumped into adult pickup games whenever I got the chance. It turns out, flag football is everywhere if you look hard enough! Summer became my favorite time of year because I got to travel for tournaments and attend Nike camps. After eight years, I still get butterflies every time I step onto the field. There’s something about the fresh air, the sound of laughter, and the thrill of chasing down a runaway flag that never gets old. This year is extra special because I get to be the varsity team captain. I’m so excited to help lead our team, welcome new players, and keep everyone’s spirits high—even when we’re running sprints or practicing in the rain. My goal is to make sure everyone feels included and pumped up to play, no matter their skill level. I want our team to be known for having fun, working hard, and always cheering each other on. Looking ahead, I have some big dreams. Someday, I hope to play flag football for Team USA in the Olympics (how cool would that be?). Even more, I want to bring the sport back to my home country, Poland. Flag football isn’t very popular there yet, but I think it could catch on in a big way. I’d love to help start leagues and share the joy of the game with new friends across the world. Flag football has given me so much—confidence, friendships, and endless good memories. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me next, and I hope to spread my love for the game wherever I go.
