Bio
I am a student at the John D. O'Bryant School of Mathematics and Science. I enjoy learning about science, especially biology. In my free time, I love to read romance novels, practice my violin, increase my soccer skills at the park with my friends, and strengthen my faith by reading the Bible. I am fluent in both English and Spanish and a beginner in French. I have been raised by my Colombian immigrant single mother, who has made me an independent and diligent individual just like she is. I take pride in being my mother's daughter because, although my mother and I have faced many challenges in life, my mother has still pushed herself to get a degree here in the U.S. I plan to study in the medical field in the future because I am devoted to not only exceeding the low income and hardworking background that I come from but to help people physically and emotionally. I would appreciate getting a scholarship because it will significantly help me achieve my goals.
