Diagnosed with severe Crohn's Disease at nine, I underwent surgery and will continue to have lifelong infusion treatments. Overcoming this hurdle brought joy, renewed health, and resilience. This journey taught me to endure life's challenges, unlocking my fighting spirit and accelerating my piano skills. I've volunteered at my local church for years, aiding in children's ministry on Sundays and joining the Academy 4 outreach program. I also play piano for the youth worship group weekly. Volunteering in worship ministry intertwines faith and community, enhancing spiritual experiences for students. I plan to earn a bachelor's and master's degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy, aligning with my aspirations. I aim to become a piano teacher, music professor, songwriter, and performer, necessitating an advanced education. As a Hispanic pianist, I strive to inspire fellow minorities, especially on college campuses. Attending a university will be an immense opportunity to execute my goal of bringing classical music to the forefront of the community. I'll address community needs by providing more affordable piano lessons for the underprivileged. Music surpasses boundaries; it's a universal language that transcends cultural divides.
In conclusion, my passion lies in cherishing music for the benefit of others. It will be rigorous and competitive. Each day is a challenge to conquer regarding my health and academics. I know that shaping my future bears an everlasting imprint of purpose. I will recognize all situations as hope and a provision to push my limits into victories.
