Bio

Hi! My name is Haley Suzuki, and I am junior majoring in mechanical engineering at the George Washington University. I was born in raised in Southern California, and in addition to engineering, am passionate about marine conservation, combatting climate change, and making a difference in my community. Most recently, I have combined my love for engineering and the ocean in a research intern position at the Laguna Ocean Foundation. Additionally, I am a Division I student-athlete on the gymnastics team at GW. My typical week involves balancing 20+ hours of athletics with engineering coursework and volunteering in the community. I’ve been in the sport for as long as I can remember, and the dedication, determination, and resilience it has instilled in me shapes everything I do.
