My story would not make the best-seller list. Countless students are similar to me: neurodivergent, from low-income families, working multiple jobs to afford tuition, or grieving the loss of a parent. Struggles are inevitable, but I learned that community heals. Linking physical and intellectual arms with others projected light into the darkest moments of my life. While none of my achievements are exceptional, my love for others is. I aspire to continue pouring back into my local and global community throughout my professional career.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am a passionate undergraduate scholar located in the South. Double majoring in Neuroscience and Political Science, I hope to attend a dual JD/MD graduate program following graduation. Dedication is a tenant of my life philosophy, as I work hard to maintain a competitive GPA and maintain a full-time job.
Community service and advocacy have remained pillars of my life since childhood. Following my extensive volunteer history, I opened a nonprofit in the fall of 2020. After obtaining my professional degrees, I will expand my nonprofit's outreach to offer psychiatric and legal services to refugee children.
