I have started a small business in my local community. The first thing I did was take a business , and entrepreneur class. After learning everything I needed to , I started researching all of the products and items I needed to start my small business. I saved up around $200 to start my business. My business is a 100 percent organic , and vegan cosmetics line. The name of my business is Sommers Moon Vegan Cosmetics.so far I have made a lip balm , and whipped body butter that I have made a small profit off of . I hope to continue expanding my cosmetics line. My product are climate pledge friendly , and the packaging is made of recycled plastics. My products also do not use beeswax to support the #savethebeesmovement , which is something I am very passionate about. The products I use to make my cosmetic products are ethically sourced as well as organic. I , as a single young mom am trying to continue a business in hopes to better my daughter and I’s future. I also love that my business is helping reduce plastic waste by reusing recycled plastic. I love the environment and anyway I can make a profit , and help the environment is wonderful to me.

As a young woman who has struggled with many difficulties in my life , I believe that everyone should be kind. Life is a bit easier on everyone when people are kind to each other , and can empathize for each other. Being empathetic is an easy quality to acquire when you are open to seeing other peoples points of views. I always do the most I can to make sure those around me are happy. I often sacrifice my own emotions to help others with their own feelings. I believe it is easier to be empathetic to other than it is to judge them. More than anyone it’s the people who have struggled the most that treat people with upmost kindness. All the things I’ve struggled with help me to be more open minded , and understanding of others. I will , and always have treated people with kindness, and been empathetic. I like to give people the chance to speak their minds and express themselves to me , because I didn’t have the opportunity when I was struggling. I am always an open set of caring ears for others. That is how I empathize for others , simply being available to listen , and be there for others.
