Hailey Francois

Bio

I am Hailey Francois, a Senior at Church Point High School who graduated in May of 2023. I will be attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette starting in the Fall of 2023 with hopes of graduating with my Masters Degree in Criminology. I acquired a lot of experience from being a part of the Academy/Dual Enrollment Program at Louisiana State University at Eunice. I have experienced the stresses of college at a young age but also the reward of it all. I plan to make a positive impact on nearby communities by protecting lives, looking for forensic evidence, keeping people safe during a natural disaster, helping crime victims, and promoting fair practices in the justice system. I plan to devote my career in making a difference in the lives of others. As a Criminologist, I want to determine what causes criminal behavior, with the hope of preventing it and keeping citizens safe. To give back and be a part of a community-wide solution has been a priority to me. Seeking a career path where people feel engaged and fulfilled, criminal justice to me provides that. Also I can be proud of the work I am doing. It is not about turning a profit or reaching corporate goals. It is not about working for others. In this type of work, I will be working to do something valuable for the world around me. Which often means I can become the best version of myself and serving others who are in need of help, protection or guidance.

Also I can be proud of the work I am doing. It is not about turning a profit or reaching corporate goals. It is not about working for others. In this type of work, I will be working to do something valuable for the world around me. Which often means I can become the best version of myself and serving others who are in need of help, protection or guidance. A career in this industry may take me to new places. It will show me many types of people and help me experience various cultures. Many times, I may have the opportunity to support others going through trauma or tragic events. It also may help you be able to travel to an area that needs emergent helpand find new experiences within your community. Also, I can help change how policing happens or encourage better programs to support those who have the most need. When pursing an education in this field, I feel I am more likely to be able to do that in a meaningful way by helping change the future.
Humanize LLC Gives In Honor of Shirley Kelley Scholarship
I am Hailey Francois, a Senior at Church Point High School who graduated in May of 2023. I will be attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette starting in the Fall of 2023 with hopes of graduating with my Masters Degree in Criminology. I acquired a lot of experience from being a part of the Academy/Dual Enrollment Program at Louisiana State University at Eunice. I have experienced the stresses of college at a young age but also the reward of it all. Through my encounters with Administrators and other students along the way, I never felt alone with the support and guidance I have received. One skill I have obtained is the importance of maintaining an organized schedule. Ultimately, the most important outlook through my time at Louisiana State University at Eunice is that, however challenging something may seem does not mean you cannot overcome it.
