I want to advance in accounting and finance, continue my education, and eventually pursue leadership opportunities. Staying encouraged throughout that process matters to me as much as reaching the next milestone. This uncertainty has made me reflect on how I define progress. An employer’s decision does not erase my experience or the work I have put into school. Still, it takes effort to remember that when I am hoping for a different outcome.
