My name is Griselda Barrondo. I am a young mother of one beautiful daughter, a wife to an amazing and supportive husband, and a current student attending college at Houston Community College. Before becoming a wife and mother, I was always a very good student throughout all my education levels. Education has been a passion of mine due to the fact that I believe learning in general is one of the best tools we use in our daily lives. For instance, when we are welcomed to this world, we are learning how to walk, speak, write, and read. We are not born knowing it all, so to me, it is very intriguing that every single day of our lives, we learn something. Like a very famous saying most everyone uses, "We live and learn," because literally, that's what we do every day. So why not overextend your knowledge, which can benefit your life by learning new skills, becoming a problem-solver, and knowing how you can help out others? My education showed me a diverse world of possibilities, which made it challenging to choose my desired career. My mindset had me believing that the time invested in exploration was never wasted because everything happens for a reason, but I was still determined to select a career that I'd enjoy doing for the rest of my life. After graduating high school, I put off going back to college for the same reason. I began working for my godfather's construction company as an office assistant. The job required me to visit several construction job sites before we could start any work. This brought architecture into the picture. The thought of creating blueprints and understanding the home structure really sparked my interest. Once a home was fully constructed, I took an interest in interior design. It was an entirely new experience learning about different textures, bringing a space to life with color, and seeing everyone's diverse ideas really amazed me. This time, I was indecisive about two careers. Not enough! I wanted a career path that would fulfill my inner child and help the community, too. When I was a child, my mom was a single mother with five kids. I was the youngest. We moved around a lot, so we never really had a home to call our own. Now, with this real estate knowledge, I wondered what about the people who help you look for that perfect home? That's when I learned about my current career path, becoming a real estate agent. Getting your license as an agent isn't hard, and there's more to it than just becoming an agent. Over the years, through experience, you can become a real estate broker and eventually create your own business to recruit future agents with the same goals, those who are as ambitious and driven as you are. You can also help others find their perfect home.
