FinalistBio
My name is Greyson Geisness and I am an aspiring musician. I have been playing instruments since I was three, after watching Little Einsteins and promptly begging my mom for a violin. My life has been filled with music since then. I am so grateful for the opportunities, benefits and joy that music has given me, and I want to be able to share that with others. The pursuit of my musical goals had led me to Interlochen Arts Academy where I worked passionately towards honing my skills. After graduating with high honors with distinction and a Young Artist Award, I started working towards a bachelor's degree at Juilliard. I am so grateful to all people, schools and foundations that have helped me pursue this difficult path, including the Virtu Foundation for loaning me an instrument, the Castleman Quartet Program for helping me afford outstanding guidance over the summers, Interlochen Arts Academy and Juilliard for scholarship aid, my instructors, my family and all of the others who have supported me and helped get this far. I could not have achieved what I have without all of you. I plan on continuing to work diligently towards growing as a musician and hope to really make an impact on the world through beautiful music and helping others musicians follow their dreams as well.
