The first time I took a computer science honors class, I knew I had found my thing. Walking into the room, I felt the energy of all those computers and students excited about tech. As we started coding and building robots, I was hooked. It wasn’t just about writing code; it was about creating something from scratch and solving problems in new ways. I joined the class not knowing much about coding, but we started with the basics, writing simple programs and learning how to fix them when they didn't work. As the course went on, we moved on to bigger projects, like building robots and programming them to do different tasks. It was amazing to see my code turn into a working robot, and that's when I knew I wanted to pursue a career in computer science. Outside of class, I joined my school's robotics club, where I worked with other students to design and build robots for competitions. This taught me the importance of teamwork and communication, because we had to collaborate to get things done. It also gave me a deeper understanding of coding and engineering, making me even more excited about a future in technology. Looking ahead, I have big dreams. I want to work at one of the Tech Giants, like Google or Microsoft, where I can be part of projects that affect millions of people. I'm also interested in working for the FBI in their cybercrime division, helping to protect our country's digital security. Both paths sound exciting, and I know that my skills in computer science will be key to reaching these goals. The people who have inspired me along the way are my computer science teacher and my robotics club advisor. They encouraged me to keep learning and showed me that teamwork and persistence are just as important as coding skills. Their support has been a big reason why I'm pursuing a career in tech. In short, I’m a computer science enthusiast who fell in love with coding and robotics in my first honors class. My goal is to work in technology, either at a top tech company or in a role that helps keep our digital world safe. I know it will take hard work and dedication, but I’m ready for the challenge and excited about what’s next. I am determined to make the most of every opportunity that comes my way.

This scholarship would be a huge help as I work towards my business administration degree at Morehouse College. It would allow me to focus more on my studies without worrying about money, making my college experience a lot less stressful. Morehouse College is known for being a place that builds leaders who make a positive difference in the world. That's why I chose to study here. But going to college is expensive. The annual tuition at Morehouse is $27,984, and when you add in things like housing, meals, and books, the total cost for the year can be about $56,000. For someone like me, who doesn't have a lot of financial resources, that's a lot of money. If I get this scholarship, it would take a big weight off my shoulders. I wouldn't have to stress about how to pay for school, which would let me put all my energy into my classes and other activities. I’d be able to get involved in things like internships, leadership programs, and community service without worrying about finding extra jobs to cover my expenses. Also, having this scholarship would mean I don't have to worry about my finances as much. I wouldn't have to think about where my next tuition payment is coming from, and I wouldn't have to stress about buying books or paying for housing. This would help me do better in my classes because I'd have more time to study and focus on my work. Being able to focus more on my studies would also help me connect with others at Morehouse. I’d have more time to network with other students, professors, and business professionals. These connections are important for my future career, and I wouldn't have to miss out on them because I was working extra jobs to pay for school. This scholarship would also mean a lot to me because it shows that someone believes in my potential. If I get this support, I would make sure to give it my best at Morehouse. I'd work hard in my classes, get involved in campus activities, and make sure I'm on the right path to reach my career goals. I'd also want to give back to my community, just like others have helped me by providing this scholarship. In short, this scholarship would be a big boost for me as I pursue my business administration degree at Morehouse College. It would help me focus on what's important—my education—without worrying so much about money. I am very grateful for the chance to apply, and I hope I can use this opportunity to achieve my goals and make a positive impact in the future.

Growing up in New York City with my siblings, I learned a lot from my mom, who raised us alone while working long hours to support the family. Her strength and determination inspired me, and these values have stuck with me as I work toward my business administration degree. I'm passionate about giving back to my community because I know firsthand how much it can change lives. Living in NYC, I noticed a big gap between the neighborhoods that are doing well and those that aren't. Some areas are thriving, with lots of businesses and job opportunities, but others are struggling with unemployment and a lack of resources. This has made me want to focus my studies on social entrepreneurship and community development, to help bring more opportunities to those neighborhoods that need them most. One of the main things I want to do with my business degree is to support small businesses and entrepreneurs in areas that need a boost. Local businesses can be a huge part of a community, providing jobs and a sense of connection. I want to create programs that give aspiring entrepreneurs the support they need, like resources, mentorship, and even funding. By helping people start their own businesses, I believe we can create more jobs and give communities a chance to grow. Being raised by a single mom also gave me a deep understanding of the challenges faced by working families. Because of this, I'm interested in creating business models that make life easier for families, like offering flexible work hours and affordable childcare. These kinds of changes can make a big difference for people who are balancing work and family responsibilities. Education has always been important in my life, and I think it can be a powerful way to improve a community. With my business administration degree, I want to work with schools and community centers to offer classes on things like financial planning, career development, and entrepreneurship. By teaching these skills, I hope to help young people find good jobs and contribute to their communities. This scholarship will help me reach these goals by giving me the support I need to finish my degree. I'm committed to using my education to make a positive impact, just like my mom did for us. I believe that by focusing on the strengths and talents within our communities, we can create lasting change. My dream is to use my business degree to transform NYC's underserved neighborhoods into vibrant places where people can thrive. I'm excited about this journey, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to work toward this with your support.
Frederick J. Salone Memorial Basketball Scholarship
Basketball has had a huge impact on my life. I used to be really quiet and kept to myself, but playing basketball helped me break out of my shell. It gave me a sense of community and a place where I could be myself. It also taught me a lot about working hard and never giving up. One of my biggest accomplishments in basketball is becoming a team leader. When I first joined the varsity team, I was shy and didn’t talk much. I just did what I was told and didn't make waves. But as I spent more time with my teammates, I started to open up. I began to share my ideas and encourage others during practice and games. By my junior year, I was chosen to be team captain. It was a big deal for me because it showed that I could be a leader and that my teammates trusted me. Basketball also helped me learn the value of hard work and perseverance. We had long practices, tough drills, and lots of conditioning. Sometimes I felt like I couldn't keep going, but I pushed through because I didn't want to let my team down. This commitment taught me that success doesn't come easy; you have to work for it. This mindset helped me not only on the court but also in school. I learned how to manage my time and balance my studies with my basketball commitments. Being part of a basketball team also made me feel like I was part of something bigger. My teammates became like family to me. We supported each other through the ups and downs, whether we were winning games or losing them. There were times when we had to deal with injuries or when we weren't playing well, but we stuck together. This sense of community and the relationships I built are what made basketball so special to me. Of course, there were challenges. Balancing schoolwork with basketball wasn't easy. There were nights when I had to stay up late to finish homework because I had practice earlier in the day. And when we lost games, it was hard not to feel discouraged. But I learned to keep going, no matter what, because I knew that giving up wasn't an option. Overall, basketball has given me the skills and confidence to succeed in other areas of my life. I've learned that teamwork, dedication, and resilience are key to achieving your goals. These lessons will help me as I pursue my education and career, and I know they will also guide me in giving back to my community. I'm grateful for what basketball has taught me, and I'm excited to use these lessons to make a positive impact in the future.

At a young age I had to learn, As a catalyst for economic expansion and progress, business has a significant impact on the globe. Every dollar spent influences industries, job development, and the interdependence of the world economy through its cyclical movement. Overall, consumer spending drives global business, influencing economies and civilizations everywhere. Business has an impact that goes beyond economic boundaries.
