Bio

I'm an aspiring artist, that has a burning passion for music. I've been writing poetry and lyrics since the age of 14 and I hope one day, my music can bring a positive influence to the ones that take the time to listen! My biggest inspiration is my father! He has taught me a trade and a great work ethic since the age of 10. I was always by his side, laying hardwood flooring, that everything I achieve in this life is for him. I plan to further my education through Florida Institute of Recording Sound and Technology. To further my endeavors with music & business. If I quit now, I would never know just how close I was to succeeding!

CREATIVE. INSPIRED. HAPPY Mid-Career Writing Scholarship
It was sunny; my father and I moved to Florida into my grandmother's home in 2014. With barely any money and amidst of divorce that made us leave New York. We were leaving behind that regressing image of a stable family. One day, while I was alone, sitting in my grandmother's sewing room, that was my bedroom as well. I pulled out a sheet of computer paper, grabbed a pen, and wrote my first song, "Deadly Premonition". Looking back, I remember that feeling of empowerment, being able to spill my emotions onto a piece of paper without being judged. It gave me that sense of hope and ambition; ever since then, I continued writing throughout my classes, during my lunch breaks, and even when I got home. My high school years, were some of the toughest years of my life. It wasn't school that was necessarily hard but it was coming back to a broken home that supplied nothing but stress and despair. I could've easily turned to drugs and alcohol to relieve my pain but I continued writing. Music and Poetry were the outlets I needed to pursue a brighter path. It was the voice I lost for many years; it was another reason to get back up. My love for music and writing has been going strong for 10 years and I was able to turn a lot of my dreams into reality. I was recently accepted into a college in Orlando, Florida where I will further my education, goals, and ambitions. Coming from a place where the light was bleak, and I felt hopeless, I'm extremely proud of the road I'm heading down. That thought of picking up a pen, 10 years ago was revolutionary. I write because it's the strength I need to lift the hardships out of my life. I sing, because it's the voice that influences others to do the same. But it was never easy; I challenged myself every day to write at least one song or poem. To hone the skill that will eventually bring change. Many times, I felt like I wasn't good enough. The number of times I've failed was discouraging but I always took the value of each failure as a lesson. For each time I've failed, I was one step closer to success. October is when I'll be starting college and furthering my education. As well as, strengthening my field of writing, audio/visual, and show production. And to write and complete my very own book in the future! I don't plan on stopping or quitting, and I hope to inspire many people with my work!
