For many years, the culinary arts have been a major part of my life. I love seeing the way people's faces light up when they taste something I have made. As such, I am currently pursuing a career in this field, starting with a culinary school I will be attending in a few months. My dream is to turn one of my biggest passions into something I can make a living from.

Harry Potter and the Sorting Hat Scholarship
Of the four famous Harry Potter houses, the one I believe I would be sorted into is Ravenclaw. Members of this House value things such as intelligence, diligence, and originality. These are all principles that I see as important and ones that I often try to exercise in my daily life.
I have always seen myself as a very smart and hard-working person, and my school records make this fact very clear. I have never finished a high school year with a grade lower than a B, and I graduated third in a class of 50 students, with a final GPA of 3.887. It took dedication and hard work to achieve that academic standing, which are both things that all Ravenclaws view as important. In addition to my faith in these qualities, I also think that with the right application, the brain is truly humanity's greatest weapon. In the words of the Ravenclaw House motto, "Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure."
However, intelligence can be applied to far more than just education. It also shines through in people who employ a lot of creative thinking. For me, I apply this quality to numerous hobbies. My personal favorite past time is reading, which not only helped my excel in school, but also fuels my creativity and imagination. I have loved reading ever since I was a child, and I believe that is one of the reasons why others see me as such an intelligent girl. Another hobby that let's me express my creativity is baking, because there are endless recipes out there that I can try out and experiment with. It's rather enjoyable to experiment with different flavors and appearances across a variety of baked goods, from fruit-flavored muffins to beautifully decorated cakes. The world of food offers me and endless amount of opportunities keep the creative part of my brain in peak condition.
While exercising the creative part of my mind is very fun, I also love engaging in activities that are intended to challenge the logical side of my brain and make me think hard. These include mystery games, logic-based riddles, and jigsaw puzzles. I could easily spend forever figuring out the solution to a logic puzzle or a sudoku grid. After all, your mind is only useful to you if you keep it sharp, and that is done through training it constantly. If you take care of your brain, it will undoubtedly serve you well for the rest of your life.
Like a true Ravenclaw, I possess a strong belief in the importance of a sharp mind, a diligent attitude, and a creative spirit. These things are crucial for reaching important goals and getting all that you want out of your life. With the power of my brain by my side, I will always be ready and able to succeed in any challenge that life throws my way. All it takes is the right thinking and the right effort, and there is no goal or dream that I cannot reach.
Disney Super Fan Scholarship
The magic of Disney has been a part of American culture for many, many years. It comes in an endless amount of forms, from television to video games, and there's always something available for people of all ages and backgrounds. To me, the most magical part of the Disney brand is the music that is a part of so much of its media, particularly its many films.
The greatest thing about Disney's music is that it covers almost every genre and type imaginable, providing an endless variety of songs for all kinds of listeners. For example, "A Whole New World" from the film "Aladdin" is a soft, romantic duet, while "Oogie Boogie's Song" from "The Nightmare Before Christmas" is a chilling horror number. That's always been one of the best parts about Disney's media - there's always something for everyone to enjoy.
On a personal level, my favorite songs from the Disney film franchises are the ones with a strong and empowering message, especially those sung be a female lead. These include "Speechless" from the "Aladdin" remake, "Let It Go" from "Frozen," and "How Far I'll Go" from Moana. This type of music is always so inspiring and energizing to me, and it gets me in the mood to do something great while always giving it my all.
In addition, there are lots of Disney songs that provide an inspirational message to their listeners. "Try Everything" from "Zootopia" says that it's okay to fail as long as you keep going afterward. "Go the Distance" from "Hercules" encourages people to work hard for the life they dream of having. "Almost There" from "The Princess and the Frog" sings about what it feels like to know that achieving your life's goal is just within reach. These songs, along with many others, provide inspiration and encouragement to people and help them push themselves toward fulfilling their most treasured dreams, no matter what exactly they may be.
Aside from being rousing and motivational, there are also plenty of Disney songs out there that are just plain fun. "We Don't Talk About Bruno," "You're Welcome," and "Un Poco Loco" are all examples of insanely catchy numbers that can get just about anyone to dance or sing along. When it comes to helping you get energized and cheerful, a good, upbeat song is one of the best methods, and Disney has created a lot of amazing songs that do this perfectly.
In conclusion, I believe that Disney music is one of the best things the brand has ever created. It can provide everything from hearfelt encouragement to the perfect karaoke tunes. It is my wish that Disney will keep up the good work and continue to produce such magical melodies for many years to come.
