I want to pursue a career in cosmetology because I want to help people become a version of themselves that they didn’t think was possible. I want to make them feel amazing. I want to see my clients face light up when they leave with a style that they have always wanted. For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to make people happy and with this career path, I get to do just that. The simple act of making someone happy holds a unique power, one that resonates deeply within both the giver and the receiver. It's a feeling of warmth that spreads outward, creating ripples of positivity that can brighten even the dullest of days. The joy derived from bringing happiness to others is multifaceted, stemming from the satisfaction of knowing you've made a positive impact, the connection forged through shared smiles, and the sense of purpose it instills within oneself. One of the most rewarding aspects of making people happy is witnessing the immediate impact of your actions. A genuine compliment, a helping hand, or even a well-timed joke can transform someone's mood, replacing frowns with smiles and lifting spirits that may have been weighed down by stress or sadness. This visible transformation is a powerful reminder of the influence we have on those around us and the potential to brighten their lives in meaningful ways. For me, the desire to create happiness in others extends to the realm of cosmetology. I see cosmetology as more than just a profession; it's an art form that allows me to enhance people's natural beauty and boost their self-confidence. By providing services such as haircuts, styling, makeup application, and skincare treatments, I can help individuals feel good about themselves and project a positive image to the world. The ability to empower people through cosmetology is incredibly fulfilling and aligns perfectly with my desire to make a tangible difference in their lives. Seeing how people get when they feel good about how they look inspired me ti want to pursue this career path. I want to be that person that people come to when they want to feel like themselves. I have always been someone who tries to make others happy even if they don’t think about them selves. I will always try to make someone smile and laugh and just over all being happy. To me that is what makes me happy. Now, that I have found a career that I love doing and a career that makes others feel good about themselves I feel as though I can really make a difference in the world one person at a time.

Growing up as an identical twin has always taught me to be myself and be different from her. I want that for everyone. I want to make people feel pretty. People should be able to feel like themselves and love themselves. Growing up in a household with two other sisters, I needed to show who I was and what I wanted to be. I have always enjoyed getting my hair done or doing hair. Doing your hair is just one of the many ways to express yourself. This is important to me because when individuals are confident, this can lead to healthy connections, communication, and better relationships with others. When you express yourself. It allows you to relate with others. This allows us to make friends and have that group of people you can be yourself around. I have never felt as though I wasn’t part of a group, but I do feel like I haven’t had the best time expressing myself up until last year. I have found what I love and how to express myself. I feel pretty and confident whenever I have my hair done nicely, my nails done, and my makeup done. Growing up in a family of 6. We have always been tight on money. Getting this scholarship will be extremely helpful for me to fulfill my dream to be a cosmetologist. Currently, I am in high school, but I am enrolled in the Career Line Tech Center in Cosmetology at Tulip City Beauty College in Holland Michigan. I have been enjoying everything I have learned so far and can’t wait to continue after I graduate. Getting this scholarship will allow me to follow my heart and not have to worry about having the money to do so. Coming from a big family. My parents don’t have the money to help me get to cosmetology school next year. This means I am the one responsible for paying for my schooling next year. I don’t want money to be the reason why I can’t follow my dreams. I just want to feel like I am making a difference in the world, even if it is just one person at a time, and following my dreams and becoming a cosmetologist is going to help me make a difference in the world. Making people feel great about themselves can make a big difference in how people see themselves. This can make people see the world differently. I just want to make a difference. If that is one person at a time then that is how it is going to be. As long as I am doing what I love. That is making people feel amazing then I will feel like I am successful and made it in the world.
