I am a passionate advocate for my fellow Hispanics and members of the LGBTQ community! I am president of my local SAGA (sexuality and gender alliance) club, where I work with local organizations to achieve community goals. I am the captain of my debate team, where I keep updated on global issues. I am especially focused on plant biology with an interest in genetics. I hope to make access to nutritious food more available by altering crops, following in the footsteps of golden rice. At home, I love to put together puzzles and read fantasy or plant identification books. Much of my time is spent in the garden I built, growing vegetables to give out to my community.
