Bio

A personal motto of mine is to use the opportunities I've been given as a way to ensure the voices of the unheard are heard. I'm pursuing a career in neurology, a specialty that has the common misconception that there is nothing we can do for our patients. However, I am specifically pursuing a career in neuro-palliative, with a goal to complete a Palliative Care fellowship after a neurology residency. I found that in neurology, we need to improve our ability to have focused discussions on the goals of our patients and use that to inform our treatment. I aim to be a trailblazer in this new field of neuropalliative, where I will learn how to best hear my patients and make sure their voice is heard in their care. I am also an advocate of gender equity within neurology. I conducted some research in gender equity within MS, and I hope to continue learning more about the specific healthcare needs across all genders. I want to continue to advocate for gender equity so that all patients receive the highest quality of care they all deserve.
