Hello, my name is Gissel! I strive to get a bachelor's degree for Graphics Design, and why Graphic design? The reason behind it is because I wanted to expand my limits. Before I began doing any digital art, I only focus on painting. The story has always been at the center of my art works, which is where it hit me. Digital art became a new way to express myself and a new way to see the world for me when I began experimenting with it. Please allow me to tell you about my experience. Graphic design has taught me much more than just how to use photoshop; it has taught me how to look at the world through a lens, how to tell stories with my art, and how to be a critical thinker. I'm not just doing this for myself, I want to repay back my single mom who encouraged me throughout my journey and who worked non-stop to keep her 3 children alive and well. The most important thing to me is for her to rest and to be proud of me. I know reaching my college graduation is one of her dreams, and she has been my strongest supporter. Throughout her life, my mother has sacrificed a lot of time and energy, and I want to repay her for all that she has done for me. Finally, I want to inspire others who are experiencing extreme poverty and financial struggle to know that anything is possible with hard work and determination. The purpose of this blog is to inspire you, regardless of your level of skill, to explore the art of expressing yourself.
