The personal achievement that I’m most proud of would be being more willing to ask for help from others. For the following reasons: it helped me become more open-minded, accept criticism, and make improvements.
Firstly, it helped me become more open-minded. When I started asking for help from others in class this helped me in accepting different view points from others. Where I noticed you can find different solutions to seeing the problem. This has demonstrated me that learning in general can improve my skills to problem-solving. Also, to use my brain into thinking more critically. And to look for different ways to solve a problem.
Secondly, accept criticism. When my teachers or peers would do corrections of my work to see what I could improve on it would make me feel annoyed since, I wanted it to be ultimately perfect but, nonetheless it has made me change my perceptive
Into understanding that I can’t get everything right and that it’s okay to be wrong and make mistakes. For example, when I did my essay and my teacher made us make suggestions to their essay. This has helped me in receiving criticism. Also, knowing that it’s okay to have mistakes in writing. Where I can see what I did wrong and work towards my weaknesses in my essays.
Lastly, make improvements. When I do the homework I think I did it correctly. But, when I receive my grade there are the teachers comments on how to fix it in order to improve my grade. This shows me that the teachers suggestions help in fixing my mistakes. Where I can easily communicate back to the teacher whenever I need more clarity on what exactly needs more attention. And this can improve my assignment in being more clearer and precise.
Overall, the personal triumph that I’m most proud of is asking for help from others. Due to the following reason: become more understanding, accept suggestions, and change things. My advice to others is that asking for help truly does impact you in so many ways. As for me when I noticed that asking for help improves my learning and problem-solving skills. Where I can easily find other alternatives for learning things differently from different perspectives which help in understanding things better. This is why it’s essential for people to ask for help since you receive feedback to improve things that may not seem ideal or make sense. Where it broadens your perspective on things by focusing on what you missed and working towards that makes you see your weaknesses and accept them as they are.
