As a native to Detroit, growing up around and experiencing poverty enlightened me to the many factors that influence the status of poverty- health and wellness being a major one. To give to my community, to provide necessary resources to low income families, such as community gardens and free education on living healthy lifestyles, are a few of my many ambitions in helping my community evolve.
