With all the many different criteria for sorting which Hogwarts house you belong in, it can be a difficult thing that takes evaluating yourself, and of course, getting to know the Hogwarts houses themselves. When learning about the different houses; Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, and Slytherin, I have zero doubt that I would be sorted into the Hufflepuff house. Hufflepuffs are known for being caring to animals and nature, being well-rounded, and valuing the things around them. To begin, Hufflepuff has the most admirable care for animals and nature out of all the houses in Harry Potter. When watching the films you'll notice the Hogwarts greenhouse is run by Hufflpuffs and many of them have a main storyline of caring for plants and animals, an example would be Poppy Seedling and her desire to take care of the animals and nature around her. I connect with this because I have my plant room, and always have loved caring for plants and finding uses for them. Taking care of not only my plants, but also others has been a hobby and passion of mine for years, and I as well love propagating plants to watch more plants bloom out of one. I also enjoy adopting animals and visiting local shelters, as well as taking care of dogs and other pets for people around me. When it comes to being well-rounded, Hufflpuffs fit that idea perfectly. As expressed in the films, Huffpluffs mainly enjoy working in the nature field, however, it is also shown that they can rise to any challenge and can extend their skills with their hard work and dedication. Many Hufflpuffs use this when needing to cast spells or create potions to help others. While I cannot cast spells and positions, I always strive to be hard-working and well-rounded. I love stepping up to new challenges and learning new things, and not limiting myself to certain areas, but instead, broadening my knowledge and using that to my advantage. When you think of most houses in Harry Potter, you might think everyone wants to be the best and have strong desires to get to the top of their class. Well, that isn't the case when it comes to Hufflpuffs, instead, they keep their core values close to them and what they truly love and care for. When it comes to this, friends are the main value to the Hufflepuff in Harry Potter. When looking at houses like Slytherin and Gryffindor, Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy always seemed to get into fights with their houses, but that didn't happen with Hufflpuffs. I relate to these characteristic people I always make sure I keep what I truly value most and care about in my life first, which would be my family and friends. I find this characteristic to be one of the most important ones because without keeping your important values with you, you may end up losing them. With all these characteristics in mind, I know my house and where I fit at Hogwarts. Some people may argue that Huffpuffs lack confidence due to their strong determination to do anything, but in reality, Hufflpuffs are extremely good at having confidence especially when always wanted to learn more and be well-rounded, they just keep the confidence to themselves. Overall Hufflpufs is the perfect house for caring, hardworking, empathetic, and loving people, which is why this house would be my perfect house when being sorted into Hogwarts.
