“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” – Nelson Mandela Giana Hawkins is a rising junior at Spelman College majoring in Health Science with a minor in Political Science on the pre-med track. A proud Philadelphia native and first-generation college student, she aspires to become a pediatric cardio-thoracic surgeon and eventually serve as the United States Surgeon General. Passionate about healthcare equity and public health advocacy, Giana is committed to improving healthcare access for underserved communities. She currently serves as a Spelman College Student Ambassador and is an active member of the Health Careers Club, where she continues developing her leadership, service, and professional skills.
