“ The future belongs to those who prepare for it today”.- Malcom X Giana Hawkins is a rising sophomore at Spelman College majoring in Health Science with a minor in Political Science on the pre-med track. A proud Philadelphia native, Giana aspires to become a pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon and ultimately serve as the United States Surgeon General. She is passionate about healthcare equity, especially for underrepresented communities, and is deeply committed to service, leadership, and advocacy. Giana is actively involved on campus as a Spelman College Student Ambassador and a member of the Health Careers Club. Her work is rooted in compassion, community, and a desire to reform the healthcare system through both clinical excellence and public health leadership.
