I think leadership is a skill that everybody has but in different ways. Some people like to be always the leader, some people have skills of leader but prefer to don't say anything, and some people are good leaders but prefer to don't be the leader because they prefer to do their things without being the leader and feeling the pressure.
For example, when I work in groups I always like to be the one who gives instructions and specific work to each member of the group to work on various things at the same time, then I like to supervise that everything is working well. I also meet leaders who make all the group work together and make one thing faster and then continue with the other.
There are good leaders and bad leaders but I think that everybody is a good leader but everything changes depending on what kind of teammates you have and the desire that the leader and the teammates put on the work. That can also be solved, it depends on the leader and what kind of motivation gives to their teammates but there are some cases where the leader can't do anything because there is a member who doesn't want to put some effort into the work.
I think that we always need a leader in our lives because we always need someone to follow and ironically we always had a leader since we were born. For example, when we were babies our leaders were our parents, we follow everything that they said and we call them for help when we need for them; when we were children we still have our natural leaders (parents) but we also made some friends and there was always someone who we think was cool and he was kind of the leader of our group or in other cases we were the leaders, which was amazing if that was your case; when we started to go to school we meet a lot of new leaders including teachers and friends. Everything I mentioned was preparing ourselves for the future because in the future we all are going to have work and we all will be under a boss but that is just a stage of life because at some moment we all will be leaders and we will have to be over someone and give them our own experience. Why? It is pretty simple, some of us will be the leaders of a group of friends, some of us will be leaders of clubs or organizations at school or in a community, some of us will be the new boss of a job and some of us will be parents.
As I say I have been always a leader whether In my country Peru or this country the USA, At this moment I'm part of a club of mentors for freshman students in school, the president of the Latino Club in school, and I'm creating a new club called Student Language Assistants (SLA) which is a club to help students and parents who don't have English as their first language.
In conclusion, everybody is a leader and in some moment everybody will have to show it, obviously there are a lot of different leaders of the world and that's what make unique each person.
