I’m a current doctorate student in Classical Chinese medicine. My dream is to make Chinese medicine as accessible and affordable as possible. I hope to set up community clinics not only in the city, but on indigenous reservations as well. I plan to reach fluent level mandarin to do business in china to source high quality herbs for my herbal medicine practice. I have many dreams and aspirations, but my ultimate goal is to show people that healing is possible, regardless of your income bracket.

Healing Self and Community Scholarship
I am studying to become a doctor of Chinese medicine, with a concentration in trauma, mental problems, and mental health care in general. I've been through a lot and faced many obstacles in the domain of mental health, which is why I'm so passionate about helping others who are going through the same thing.
I hope to open a low-cost community acupuncture and herbal clinic in an accessible location. I want to be as accommodating as possible because I believe that every single human being, regardless of income level, needs healthcare, whether physical or mental. I want everyone to have access to high-quality mental health care without the need for insurance. I plan to offer acupuncture and herbal therapies ranging from $10-$20.
Mental health treatment is not uncommon in Chinese medicine, but it is unheard of in the rest of the world. I wish to introduce people to the incredible benefits and qualities of Chinese medicine in treating trauma, depression, and other complicated mental problems that have a significant impact on people's life.
Mental Health Importance Scholarship
My mental health is critical because I cannot function in society without it. That is how important mental wellness is. Without it, despair sets in, and it feels like the world is falling before your eyes, and you come to accept that. To have a good life, you must be physically and psychologically fit. One cannot exist without the other. When you are not psychologically healthy, it is tough to be physically healthy. The same is true for every other part of your life, such as relationships, career/study, personal dreams/goals, and so on.
My mental health is delicate, thus I need to be disciplined in order to get enough me time. Self-care, adequate nutrition, exercise, and asking for help all contribute to a healthy life, mind, body, and spirit. In the past, my mental health has caused me to miss out on opportunities, break relationships, and harm my physical health, among other things. I am more committed than ever to taking care of myself because I want to live. I want to live a happy, healthy life. Because I decided to keep going, I desire to achieve my dreams, invest in my relationships and family, and create an amazing life.
I try to keep my mental health in check by following a morning and evening regimen. Discipline and structure make my life lot easier, and a predictable routine makes me much happier. I have several hobbies, including hiking, so I go for walks and spend as much time as I can outside during the week. I get outside of my comfort zone and seek for help from friends and family, and it works wonders for my mental health. Being vulnerable is terrifying, but I try because my desire to grow and become a better version of myself is much stronger. It all comes down to trusting myself, letting go of perfectionism, and enjoying each day as it comes. "Baby steps," I always tell myself. I have a lot of empathy for those who are struggling with their mental health, therefore I love to help others and lift them up because I need those kinds of people in my life as well.
Trying to preserve one's mental health is a lifelong learning process. If you have a strong love for life, you will do everything in your power to take care of yourself, in my opinion. Despite the many problems and obstacles I've endured, I still have that love for life. I get up again and again since there is nothing without one's health.
