Discover a new plant with medicinal properties, derive a new Mathematical theorem or unveil how memories are stored and retrieved in the brain….
There are numerous areas that are fascinating to me and that a college degree could afford me. In the future, I plan to obtain my PhD in a technology-related field. I aspire to utilise my skillset and specialise in Smart Robotics or combine IT and Biology to create affordable prosthetics and improve the efficiency of surgical procedures. My goal is to become an active member of society and to live knowing that I made a valuable contribution to the next generation.
Ultimately, I am ardent about establishing my own foundation to promote Caribbean women in S.T.E.M.. in the future. Through my foundation, I would like to sponsor the education of as many girls as possible who would have struggled like me to make themselves successful and would have found limited resources available to them.

Youssef University’s College Life Scholarship
What a profound privilege it would be to pursue Philosophy and Art in the same country that produced distinguished scholars such as the philosopher Niccolò Machiavelli and the artists Michelangelo and Caravaggio!
I have an exciting opportunity to study abroad at the Sant’Anna Institute in Sorrento, Italy for the upcoming Fall 2022 semester. The scholarship money would alleviate the cost of the program. It would be truly remarkable to visit historical sites like Mt.Vesuvius and Pompei and collect and examine samples in the ocean instead of reading about them in textbooks. I anticipate delving into fields outside of my rigorous Mathematics curriculum that I would be unable to study in New York. It is a chance to diversify my skill set and strengthen my knowledge of the Arts through Archaeology excursions, nature-inspired drawing sessions, and history lessons about Southern Italy.
I believe that studying abroad is like seeing the world through someone else’s lens. It is an
enriching experience that equips students with unique skills. It expands their knowledge of new
cultures, promoting diversity and adaptability while opening them up to new networking
prospects with peers from around the globe.
Studying at the Sant’Anna Institute would mean that Sorrento would be my classroom. I would
continuously be broadening my intellectual and cultural scope through interactions with locals
and trips to historical sites while exploring the region of Campania. My adventures in Sorrento
would be immensely unparalleled. I would be honoured to receive the once-in-a-
lifetime opportunity.
