My name is Gemma. I am a Hispanic first-generation college student attending Missouri Univerisity of Science and Technology. I aspire to be an electrical engineer. I want to bring solutions brought to you by my generation. During high school, I did speech and debate, played soccer, and participated in the math club (Mu Alpha Theta). After graduating high school, I could continue my debate career on a talent scholarship in college. I enjoy learning new things when I debate different topics in a more advanced setting. It allowed me to think critically and learn fast. I volunteer any of my time to high schools when they host Speech and Debate tournaments. I like that I am able to help students engage in this activity that has helped shaped me into a better individual. I enjoy doing this activity, but I love learning about math and sciences more. I love how complex and exciting these two subjects are to learn.
