My dream is to go back to the high school I graduated from and teach. I want to have the same impact on students that my teachers had on me.

My Aunt Kathy fought a 4 year battle with cancer that changed my outlook on life completely. Watching my Aunt Kathy fight, beat for a short time, and then fight cancer again taught me the importance of pursuing your life goals no matter the situation.
Aunt Kathy wanted to run a marathon and she did. She did so WHILE battling cancer and undergoing chemo treatments. My Aunt Kathy wanted to run her own business. She did so WHILE battling cancer and undergoing chemo treatments. My Aunt Kathy said she wanted to throw out a first pitch during a Major League Baseball game. SHE DID! All while battling cancer. She taught me that nothing in life is promised, but nothing is life is unattainable if you work hard and believe you are capable in achieving your goals.
Watching her fight for so long with a smile on her face showed me that if she can achieve her goals during a horrible time in her life then I too can achieve anything I want as long as I put in the work and never give up. Though she lost her battle with cancer after 4 years, She taught me lessons I will never forget. I will take these lessons with me throughout my life, and hope to become a teacher and pass them onto the children I teach. Though this lesson may not have come from school, it came from the school of life; and my Aunt Kathy was a Professor in the school of life.
