My name is Gabriella, and I want to become a teacher. I've known this since I was in elementary school, and student teaching with Warren Tech has only strengthened this desire. I love trying new things and visiting new places. I have always been a good student, but I have also always loved learning about things. Sometimes, if a teacher isn't the best, I will have to study more and think about the class from a different perspective. Lastly. I LOVE chocolate! I have not found a chocolate I dislike.

Wow! This is so cool, could I use it at home?” a third-grade student asked me after a multiplication lesson during my student teaching experience as a junior in high school. These words came from a student who was often labeled a “problem student” and rarely showed interest in learning. Over time, I watched her grow from a child who struggled to engage with math into a student excited to learn and eager to challenge herself. Seeing her confidence grow showed me the powerful impact teachers can have on their students' lives. Moments like this inspired me to pursue a career in Elementary Education and confirmed my desire to help students discover their own love of learning.
As a first-year college student, I have always believed that education has the power to transform lives, create opportunities, and inspire future generations. Throughout my academic journey, I have been committed to learning and leadership. In high school, I graduated as valedictorian and served as co-president of my local National Technical Honor Society chapter. Since beginning college, I have continued challenging myself academically as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
While academic achievement is important to me, what matters most is applying what I learn to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Through my work as a substitute teacher, an intern at Outdoor Lab, and a student teacher in classrooms throughout Jefferson County, I have gained more than 800 hours of hands-on experience working with students. Those experiences confirmed that teaching is not only my chosen career path but also my passion.
I chose Elementary Education because I believe teachers have the unique opportunity to shape future generations. The elementary years are a critical time in a child's development, when students begin building the confidence, skills, and curiosity that will guide them throughout their lives. I want to help students discover their strengths, overcome challenges, and develop a love of learning that lasts beyond the classroom.
My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where every student feels valued and capable of success. I want my classroom to be a place where children feel encouraged to ask questions, explore new ideas, and believe in their own potential. Every child learns differently, and I hope to provide the support necessary for each student to thrive.
One of the qualities that defines me most is my curiosity. I have always loved learning and believe there is always more knowledge to gain. Whether I am exploring history, developing new skills, or discovering new interests, I am constantly seeking opportunities to grow. I hope to model that same enthusiasm for my future students and inspire them to become curious learners as well.
I strongly believe that education is the foundation that makes all other careers possible. Teachers influence future doctors, engineers, artists, scientists, and community leaders. By helping students develop confidence and excitement about their futures, I can contribute to a positive ripple effect that extends far beyond my classroom. Children who feel supported and valued are more likely to pursue their goals and positively impact others in return.
Through my career as an educator, I hope to empower students to discover what they love, pursue their dreams, and become compassionate members of their communities. While my role may seem small, I believe that investing in the growth and success of children is one of the most meaningful ways to create lasting positive change in the world.
