Hello! My name is Gabriela Guevara, and I attend Michigan Technological University. At Tech, I am a part of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) and was involved with the Mechanical Engineering Student Advisory Committee (MESAC). Both allow me to help high school students and incoming college students decide what they want to do in the future and answer any questions they may have. My career goal is to become a senior engineer, which I know will take many many years to achieve. With that, I also want to open students' eyes to the world of engineering. There are so many different types of engineering (mechanical, software, material, etc) that I believe showing students a bit of each one can lead them to choose STEM majors in the future.
