Netflix helped to launch the popularity of streaming services. The best of their shows is Troll Hunters, a Netflix original. It showed me how to write a good story and inspired me to write my own. Troll Hunters had good pacing, properly managed power scaling, and satisfying character development. It gave me a splendid example of how to write a good story. It’s greatest contribution though, was showing me a modern example of a good story. I always wanted to be an writer, but I view the greatest examples are all older novels, such as C.S. Lewis and Tolkien. I was worried that to create similar stories was impossible, as stories with grand themes are just not what people want anymore. This film gave me a modern example of a story told well, and with a story that I like to tell. I hope to become a great author someday.
