I am a college student with a 4.0 GPA. I am doing my associate degree in Pre-school Education. I finished my CHLD DV - 107, 120, 149, 262, 101, 109, 201, CIS 120, and ENG 101credit classes. This spring semester, I am taking Bio 107 and Music 121 classes. I am the mother of three children. Being a mother and pursuing school is not an easy task. I faced a lack of time to manage to study and handle parenting. As a mother, by pursuing a college degree, I will inspire my children to pursue higher education. My goal is to be a teacher. I chose to teach because I love it. Being able to work with children and watch them grow is the most amazing thing in the world. I believe that teaching is one of the most important and honorable professions in the world. Teaching is what builds our society. Teachers are an important part of a child’s social and intellectual development in the short and long term. Good teachers possess qualities such as a passion for teaching, a love for guiding students, and being experts in their subjects. They know the importance of education in life and the responsibilities of teachers towards society. These qualities of teachers are most needed in today’s time, which helps create more employment and new entrepreneurs. I strongly believe that I will be one of them. Teachers guide students of all types. Teachers can see each child’s strengths and weaknesses and can provide assistance and guidance to either get them up to speed or push them higher. Education is a fundamental aspect of the development of a country. Teachers provide the education that improves the quality of life, therefore bringing so much to both individuals and society. Teachers truly are the backbone of society. They are role models to children, offer guidance and dedication, and give young people the power of education. I am applying for this scholarship because I need financial help to finish the rest of my courses for this semester. I believe the profession of early childhood education deserves more respect and support. I believe that this program will be a way to encourage students with great promise to continue pursuing their dreams of caring for and teaching young children.
