Hello! My name is Farhana, and I am currently pursuing a degree in Medical Imaging & Radiation Sciences at Thomas Jefferson University. I am passionate about building a career in healthcare that combines advanced technology with compassionate patient care. My goal is to become a Radiologic Technologist and continue expanding my knowledge and skills throughout my career because I strongly believe that education is a lifelong journey.
What draws me most to the medical imaging field is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives during vulnerable moments. I believe that care and compassion goes a long way in the healthcare field and I hope to treat my patients by showing them that their voices are being heard and their stories are important. In my college experience, I have learned the importance of palliative care and psychosocial factors in healthcare. Volunteering in a hospital has taught me how small acts of kindness can go a long way.
In the future, I hope to further my education by earning a master’s degree and becoming a Radiologist Assistant. I am also deeply interested in Radiation Therapy because of the chance to support and care for cancer patients during one of the most difficult periods of their lives. Being able to combine technical expertise with empathy and human connection is what inspires me most about this profession.
As a dedicated student and future healthcare professional, I am committed to continual growth, lifelong learning, and using my education to positively impact my community and the patients I serve.
