I am an incoming first-year veterinary student at Tufts University with a strong passion for oncology and a deep commitment to compassionate animal care. My journey into veterinary medicine began at Tufts during a high school summer program, where a clinical shadowing experience left a lasting impact. Inspired by a Labrador retriever named Maisy undergoing cancer treatment, I have since dedicated myself to combining clinical excellence with translational research to improve outcomes for pets facing serious illnesses.
As an undergraduate, I participated in a student-led research initiative developing novel therapies for glioblastoma, an experience that solidified my interest in oncology. Looking ahead, I hope to be at the forefront of veterinary cancer care, engaging in cutting-edge research, supporting pet owners during difficult times, and expanding representation within the field as a BIPOC veterinary professional.
Through my work, I aim to honor the animals who have shaped my path and the people who believe in a more inclusive and compassionate future for veterinary medicine.
