Hello! My name is Faith Whisman, I am a Sophomore at Newberry College in South Carolina. I am transferring over from a technical school and need more help affording college. I love to dance and I will be on the Newberry Dance Team. The biggest thing about me though is I am an advocate for mental health awareness. Through my passion for dance and writing, I allow myself a way to express feelings that are hard to explain. In my poetry especially, I hope when I share it on my social media, others like me will not feel alone in how they are feeling. Taking all of this into account, continuing to further my education is a big step in helping bring awareness to things. I want to go into a field of government where I can vote and express ideas that help gain awareness. Not only would it gain awareness but the bills I want to pass will hopefully help with mental health and the public school system as these things are very important to me.
