As a first generation college student, I didn't know how my future would play out. I remember often being overwhelmed with my imposter syndrome, until I learned to lean on my community for support and trust my capabilities. After starting undergrad at the University of Michigan, I found my place in medicine. I knew I wanted to become a physician who advocated for patient wellbeing while utilizing communication to build trust with my community. I want to be a doctor who stands up for those who need it most, hence my passion for pediatrics. I want to be a supporter for children and their families, letting them know I am there to promote positive health outcomes for them. I have been lucky enough to be accepted into Wayne State University School of Medicine incoming class. I am excited to start my education in a diverse location so I can have a robust and well rounded medical education.
